If your surgeon told you to wear a "Stage 1 faja for the first month and a Stage 2 after," you've probably realized that most brands don't actually distinguish between the two. VYRA does — because the physics of compression require it.
Stage 1 · Weeks 0–4 · Maximum compression
Built for: The firmest compression in the VYRA line — full-coverage panels that hold the garment flat against the torso and distribute pressure evenly instead of concentrating it in one band.
Construction: Full double-layer panels, 6–11 steel bones, 3-row adjustable hooks, open or zipper crotch, wide adjustable shoulder straps.
Wear: Built for near-continuous wear — fabric, seams, and closures are made to hold up to it. Post-op protocols commonly land in the 18–23 hour range in the first weeks, but the schedule is your surgeon's to set. Remove for hygiene and as your surgeon clears you.

Stage 2 · Weeks 4–8 · Refined compression
Built for: Continued compression with real wearability for daily life — support without the bulk of Stage 1.
Construction: Lighter fabric blends, single or partial double layer, mesh paneling for breathability, fewer bones, smoother profile under daily clothing.
Wear: Built for all-day wear under clothing. Stage 2 protocols commonly land in the 12–18 hour range. Whether you sleep in it is your surgeon's call.

Stage 3 · Weeks 8+ · Maintenance and sculpt
Built for: Daily contour and everyday wear. This is the phase that bleeds into long-term shapewear and waist training.
Construction: Latex-based, multi-bone waist trainers and daily-wear silhouettes designed to disappear under clothing.
Wear: As much or as little as you want — typically 6–10 hours a day.
